Don’t miss this incredible chance to study FIN 3300 (Investments) in one of the most important financial capitals of the world, London, England. Classroom study for this required finance course is supplemented with excursions to the heart of the financial district including a visit to the Bank of England, one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious central banks.
Along with other financial-themed visits, students will experience famous historical locations, such as the British Museum, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, and Parliament. There will be time to walk along the River Thames, see the Tower of London, witness the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, and spy filming locations from some of your favorite movies.

Passport Requirement
You must have a current passport that does not expire before November 15, 2026 to participate in this program. If you need to get a passport or renew your passport, you must submit an EXPEDITED application by December 2, 2025 and provide proof of submission (an expedited application will take 2-3 weeks). If you just have to renew your passport, you can renew it online at https://travel.state.gov.
The USU Card Office in the TSC can assist you (appointment required).
A copy of your passport or proof of submission is due by December 2, 2025. This is REQUIRED.

Program Dates
- Application Deadline: Monday, October 31, 2025
- Spring Semester: Enroll in BUS 2000: FOUNDATION INTL PROG-LONDON during the second half of Spring Semester (0.5 credit) - taught on Thursdays 1:30-3:30pm (section 003 and CRN 19339)
- Summer Semester: Required enrollment in London FIN 3300 (3 credits, tuition included as part of program cost, section and CRN TBA)
- Travel Dates: May 9-30 2025 (depart USA on Saturday, May 9 to arrive in London on Sunday, May 10 and depart London on Saturday, May 30 to follow your individual itinerary)
Program Requirements
- Good academic standing
- Minimum GPA of 2.75
- Submission of a complete application
- Submission of a copy of passport by December 2, 2025 OR proof of a submitted expedited passport application
- Interview with program leader (to be scheduled once application is submitted)
- Mandatory enrollment during Spring Semester in BUS 2000: FOUNDATION INTL PROG-LONDON during second half of Spring Semester (0.5 credit)–Thursdays 1:30-3:30pm (section 003 and CRN 19339)
- Mandatory enrollment during Summer Semester in FIN 3300 (CRN and section # TBA, section # will be a 500 number that designates a study abroad course).
- Ability to walk 60-90 minutes, including on uneven surfaces. Ability to walk up stairs as elevators or escalators may not be available in buildings, metro stations, or cultural sites. If accommodation is needed, contact the USU Disability Resource Center.

Program Cost
- Cost $3,300 (current estimate)
- Participants purchase own airfaire
- Differential tuition NOT included, approx. $680
- The UK requires all US citizens to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) prior to entering the UK. Instructions will be provided in how to obtain the ETA which must be done well in advance of travel. Cost is around $25.
What does the program cost include?

- Includes: $200 program deposit, dormitory accommodation for the length of the program, cultural experiences, business visits, tips, medical/evacuation insurance, regular tuition for 3 credits in summer semester for FIN 3300, admin costs including 24/7 access to classroom facilities with Wi-Fi
- Does NOT include: Differential tuition, airfare to/from London, Wi-Fi or other connectivity outside the classroom facilities, daily meals, personal activities and other expenses including travel to/from SLC Airport and any personal weekend travel while in London, airport-dorm transfers in London, and any other personal expenses not detailed above

Huntsman Opportunity Scholarship
All students with a declared major in the Huntsman School of Business and who have a minimum GPA of 2.75 are eligible to apply for a Huntsman Opportunity Scholarship. Scholarships are competitive and not guaranteed. Applicants are encouraged to be thoughtful and intentional in their responses to the short essay questions. Students are encouraged to not delay their application

Business and Spanish majors and minors with a minimum GPA of 3.0 are eligible to apply for an Allred-Spicer-Escalante Global Scholarship. Scholarships are competitive and awards vary.

Lodging
Students will share a twin room for 2 people.
Visa/Travel Authorization
- The UK requires all US citizens to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) prior to entering the UK. Instructions will be provided in how to obtain the ETA which must be done well in advance of travel. Cost is around $25 and is not included in the program cost.
- International students may be required to obtain a regular visa. Students would apply for the visa in February. Liz Allred will provide instructions and basic assistance in obtaining these visas.
