Join us for a powerful and unforgettable leadership experience focused on moral courage in times of uncertainty, visiting Prague, London, Paris, and Normandy. On this international journey, we’ll walk in the footsteps of ordinary individuals who made extraordinary choices. Beginning in Prague, the first country invaded in WWII, we’ll explore the resistance and resilience of Czechoslovakia, including a sobering visit to Terezín. In London, we’ll study the vision, voice, and tenacity of Winston Churchill, learning what it means to stand alone for what is right. Finally, we’ll end in Paris and then Normandy, where thousands of American soldiers paid the ultimate price on D-Day—an enduring example of courage under fire. Throughout the trip, we’ll meet with world leaders and mentors who have demonstrated moral courage in their own lives, extracting powerful insights for how to lead your life with strength and conviction. Moral courage means standing up for what is right—even when it’s difficult or unpopular—and it will shape the kind of leader, friend, and community member you’ll become.

Passport Requirement

You must have a current passport that does not expire before December 31, 2027 to participate in this program. If you need to get a passport or renew your passport, you must submit an EXPEDITED application by October 31, 2026 and provide proof of submission (an expedited application can take 6-7 weeks, with mailing time). If you just have to renew your passport, you can renew it online at https://travel.state.gov.

The USU Card Office in the TSC can assist you (appointment required).

An uploaded copy of your passport or proof of expedited application is due by October 31, 2026. This is REQUIRED.

Spring Semester: Enroll in BUS 2000: FOUNDATION FOR INT'L PRO EURO during second half of Spring Semester (1 credit) - taught on Mondays 4:30-6:30pm (section 002 and CRN 12140)
Summer Semester: Required enrollment in BUS 2000: BUS 2000: Foundations of International Programs EUROPE (0.5 credit, tuition included as part of program cost, section and CRN TBA)
Travel Dates: May 9 -19 2027 (depart USA on Sunday, May 9 to arrive in Prague on Monday, May 10 and depart Paris on Wednesday, May 19 to follow your individual itinerary)

Program Requirements

Good academic standing
Minimum GPA of 2.75
Submission of a complete application
Submission of a copy of passport by October 31 2026 OR proof of a submitted expedited passport application
Interview with program leader (to be scheduled once application is submitted)
Mandatory enrollment in BUS 2000: FOUNDATION FOR INT'L PRO EURO during second half of Spring Semester (1 credits) Mondays 4:30-6:30pm (section 002 and CRN 12140)
Mandatory enrollment during Summer semester in BUS 2000: FOUNDATION FOR INT'L PRO EURO (0.5 credit, tuition included as part of program cost, section and CRN TBA)
Ability to walk 60-90 minutes, including on uneven surfaces. Ability to walk up stairs as elevators or escalators may not be available in buildings, metro stations, or cultural sites. If accommodation is needed, contact the USU Disability Resource Center.

$3,200 (current estimate)
Participants purchase own airfare
The UK requires all US citizens to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) which costs approximately $25. Instructions will be provided in how to obtain the ETA.

What does the program cost include?

Please read carefully!

Includes: $200 program deposit, shared program-arranged accomodations, breakfast in Prague, one-way airfare Prague-London, Eurostar London-Paris, program-related ground transportation, cultural experiences, tips, medical/evacuation insurance, and tuition for 0.5 credits in summer semester for Bus 2000, admin costs.
Does NOT include: airfare into Prague and out of Paris, breakfast in London and Paris, lunches and dinners, Wi-Fi if not free at hotel, personal activities and other expenses including travel to/from SLC Airport, hotel-airport transfers in Prague and Paris, travel authorizations (visa waivers), and any other personal expenses not detailed above.

Scholarship Opportunities

Covey Leadership Scholarship

Upon submitting a program application, all students will automatically be considered for one of the Covey Leadership Scholarships. To be eligible to be considered, students must be FAFSA eligible. If you've not yet applied for FAFSA, please do so immediately if you want to be considered.

Your program application is considered as this scholarship application.

Huntsman Opportunity Scholarship

All students with a declared major in the Huntsman School of Business and who have a minimum GPA of 2.75 are eligible to apply for a Huntsman Opportunity Scholarship. Scholarships are competitive and not guaranteed. Applicants are encouraged to be thoughtful and intentional in their responses to the short essay questions. Students are encouraged to not delay their application

Final withdrawl from program without penalty is Friday, December 11, 2026. Once you are accepted, it is your responisbility to inform us if you have changed your mind. We will begin making non-refundable deposits shortly after this date so your commitment is required at this time.

Lodging

Students will share a twin or triple hotel room.

Visa/Travel Authorization

The UK requires all US citizens to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) which costs about $25. Instructions will be provided in how to obtain the ETA.
International students may be required to obtain a regular visa to enter both the UK and European Union. Travel to consulates to submit the visa application could be required. This process will require a good three months if two visas are required. If you are an international student, please contact our office at huntsmanglobal@usu.edu to get additional visa information.
