The Scholar Journey
In the Huntsman Scholar Program, you’re not just completing classes, you’re embarking on a four-year journey designed to shape you into a business leader.
Acumen Courses
All Huntsman business students complete a set of core acumen courses that build the foundation for every business major. As a Huntsman Scholar, you will take eight of these core classes in Scholar-Priority sections. These classes are taught by dynamic professors and will give you a chance to engage more deeply with faculty and peers.
Scholar Labs
Year 1
Leadership Lab
You will begin by sharpening your personal brand, building community, and applying ethical leadership concepts drawn from real business leaders.
Year 2
Analytic Rigor Lab
Work in teams, tackle complex business challenges, explore emerging technologies and data-driven decision making.
Year 3
Global Vision Lab
Expand your horizons with a global learning experience. Travel abroad, examine business in an international context, and return with a broadened worldview.
Year 4
Entrepreneur Spirit Lab
In your senior year you will apply what you’ve learned: innovate, experiment, fail forward, and step into action as a creator, not just a consumer.
Mentorship
From day one, you’re paired with a professional mentor in the business community and a peer mentor from within the Scholar program. Each semester you’ll meet one-on-one to discuss goals, course planning, internships, and career-building.
Community
Throughout your time as a Huntsman Scholar, you’ll attend exclusive events including networking events, forums, service projects, and Scholar social gatherings. These experiences connect you with faculty, alumni, and fellow Scholars committed to going further together.
