Master of Accounting (MAcc)

The MAcc degree in the School of Accountancy at the Huntsman School of Business helps students accelerate their professional opportunities and personal development by exposing them to richer, real-world problem-solving, critical thinking, and oral and written communication applications, while developing a deeper technical understanding of graduate-level accounting concepts. The MAcc degree also satisfies the 150-credit hour requirement for CPA certification.

The MAcc program enjoys strong recruiting relationships with dozens of employers, including the Big Four, regional, and local accounting firms as well as companies and government agencies. Graduates in the MAcc program enjoy 100% placement.

Program Delivery: In-person and/or Virtual

Students can earn the MAcc degree entirely in-person, entirely virtually by joining live classrooms in Logan, Utah for every class from any remote location, or can choose by semester or even by class within a semester. Whatever the delivery method, students can expect an interactive experience including meaningful and extensive engagement with fellow classmates and professors.

Concurrent Bachelor and Master Degrees

The concurrent MAcc program allows undergraduate students to complete up to three classes (9 credits) of the required 10 classes (30 credits) to earn a MAcc degree.

The educational benefits include moving forward with the natural sequencing of coursework before a student formally matriculates as a graduate student. The financial benefits include paying undergraduate base tuition and fees and extending eligibility for federal Pell grant funding for up to 9 graduate credits.

Huntsman Advantage

The MAcc program features an engaging, student-focused faculty committed to excellent teaching. Tenure-track faculty have earned doctorate degrees at distinguished institutions usually after gaining real-world industry experience. Non-tenure-track faculty were hired from senior management positions. The MAcc curriculum is regularly reviewed and updated to assure it meets the needs of our students.
