Covey Center Founders

The Stephen R. Covey Leadership Center Mission and Vision

Mission: The greatest need in the world today is for leadership. We develop principle-centered leaders of character and competence, who elevate all society.

Vision: Become the most influential source of principle-centered leadership in the world.

Founders Organization Mission

We are a global network of leaders committed to enabling The Stephen R. Covey Leadership Center at Utah State University’s Jon M. Huntsman School of Business to achieve its mission and vision.

Become a Founder

If you’re interested in providing a framework of principled-centered leadership to our students, through classroom or social interactions, mentoring and coaching, we invite you to become a Founder of the Covey Center. Founders make an initial contribution of $10,000 and pledge $5,000 annually which supports student scholarships, programs and competitions sponsored by the Covey Leadership Center.

How Founders Participate

There are a variety of ways for founders to get involved. Some of them include:

  • Speaking in classes as a guest lecturer
  • Serving as a competition judge
  • Mentoring students in the Covey Leadership Fellows Club
  • Providing internship opportunities
  • Attending networking events
  • Offering input and feedback on our program
  • Accompanying or establishing connections with our International Leadership Experiences

Please contact the center director, Jim Davis, at j.davis@usu.edu for more information on becoming a Founders Board member.

Founder's Contribution

Founders Conference

Once a year, the Founders and their spouses gather together on campus or in alternative locations throughout the world for educational programs with guest speakers. During the conference, Founders have the opportunity to network through social activities, such as dinners, golf, tours, and sporting events. At this conference, students also have the opportunity to interact with the Founders personally, discussing various aspects of leadership and their personal development.
