Restoration Consortium Workshop: Drones for Environmental Restoration
Workshop/Training
Drones (UAV / UAS) have revolutionized data collection for environmental restoration. Master data collection, processing, and analysis using drones in this 4-day shortcourse. Students will learn how to collect and analyze data for multiple restoration applications, including wildlife, forest, rangeland, and river systems. Data analysis focuses on the visible, thermal, and multi-spectral sensors commonly mounted on drones and includes photogrammetry, change detection, and classification modeling.

You want to (re)build credit and increase your credit score but you’re not sure where to begin. It can be confusing to understand how certain credit behaviors affect your score and why you may see your score go up and down like a teeter totter. Let us teach you the tricks of the trade so that you can learn how to understand a credit score and your credit report, hacks for increasing your credit score and what factors directly impact it and how to build and protect the credit of your kids and teens.

Each day features a different group of company members including the administrative team, directors, designers, actors, and stage managers. CIDI Workshop - Publishing Open Textbooks with Pressbooks

Pressbooks is an open e-book authoring and publishing platform available to USU teachers and students. It integrates with Canvas and allows teachers and students to discover, use, and adapt existing open educational content or author and publish new content. Learn how to use and create Pressbooks content for your course.
Weber County 4-H Public Speaking, Impromptu, and Demonstration Contests
Workshop/Training | Utah 4-H and Youth
Contestants will select a topic for their speech by randomly drawing three questions/statements from a pool of topics. They will select one question/statement and return the other two. A maximum of one minute will be allowed for this process. Topics will be relative to today’s youth and may include current events, 4‐H, and/or social issues. Examples of the type of topics include: a. If I were an author, I would write about… b. One issue facing teenagers today is… c. If I could describe my personality as a tree, which tree would I be… d. What has being involved in 4‐H taught me?

A Bolder Way Forward 2nd Annual Summit
Meeting
The 2nd Annual A Bolder Way Forward (BWF) Summit focuses on making Utah a place where more girls and women can thrive in any setting (e.g., home, workplace, congregation, and community). This movement, launched in June 2023, focuses on creating societal change in Utah.
This event, hosted at Zions Bank Technology Campus, will discuss the momentum that a BWF has created since June 2023 and will provide ample time for leaders of the18 “spoke” areas to meet with their respective teams. Areas include childcare/pre-K programs, child sexual abuse, domestic violence, entrepreneurship, finances, gender pay gap, health across the lifespan, higher education attainment, home and family, K-12 initiatives, leadership development, organizational strategies and workplace culture, political and civic engagement, poverty and homelessness, sexual assault, sexual harassment and gender-based discrimination, STEM fields, and workforce development.
Come and join us for this second annual gathering to learn more and become inspired to help create change for Utah women and girls.
