National Trips 2019
Notice: Due to the COVID-19 virus, all career trips are currently on hold until feather notice. Our primary concern is for the safety of the entire USU community. Check back here for updates.
The National Exploration Trips are multiple day trips led by Jon M. Huntsman School of Business faculty and staff. These trips take 15-20 students to some of the biggest cities in the US to explore career opportunities, learn about the culture of the city and network with prominent alumni and friends of the university.
In Summer of 2019 we will be visiting California and New York City. Our goal is to arrange visits at a variety of companies to include career opportunities that are inclusive of multiple majors. Students who attend a national trip will visit multiple businesses/organizations each day and have the opportunity to attend an event with alumni from the area.
Students should expect to spend around $1,000 on a National Career Exploration Trip. Students are selected to attend the Career Exploration Trip will be required to pay $100 non-refundable deposit that will go toward the total cost of their hotel.
That being said, cost will vary depending on the student. The Huntsman School will collect money for a hotel, but students will be responsible for booking their own flight and providing their own meals.
By booking their own flights, students can hopefully get cheaper airfare and have the flexibility to arrive early or stay later in the city. Those who wish to still fly with a group will be notified of the flight the trip leaders book.
