Huntsman School Opportunity Scholarship

The Huntsman School Opportunity Scholarship assists with the cost of participation in Huntsman School travel programs and opportunities such as:

  • Huntsman School Global Learning Experience
  • Unpaid International Internship (students are responsible for securing their own internship)
  • Study Abroad Semester (business related classes only)
  • Huntsman School National or International Career Exploration Trip
  • Huntsman Endorsed Competition (International Only)

Eligibility and Criteria

  • Undergraduate students admitted to the Huntsman School
  • Minimum GPA of 2.75
  • Verification of participation in approved program/opportunity (i.e. registration confirmation email, offer letter, etc.).  See list of approved programs/opportunities above.
    • Opportunity Scholarships do not support SEED internship experiences, Huntsman Scholar Program Lab 3 Experience, or domestic internships.
  • A maximum of 2 Opportunity Scholarship awards during your career as a undergraduate Huntsman School of Business student (regardless of dollar amount awarded)
    • For Huntsman Scholar Program students, Lab 3 Travel Experience counts as one opportunity scholarship award.
  • Scholarship awards are subject to the availability of funds.

Application Processing Schedule*

Non-Global Learning Experience

Applications for non-Global Learning Experience Opportunities will be processed as they are received, and students should expect to hear back on their application within three-weeks of submitting an application.

Huntsman Global Learning Experience

Applications for Global Learning Experience Opportunities will be processed according the following schedule.

Fall 2026 Semester Application Processing*

  • October 30, 2026: Application deadline
  • December 1, 2026: Students notified of decision
  • December 11, 2026: Official acceptance of scholarships deadline

Spring 2027 Semester Application Processing*

Round 1 (focus on March Spring Break Trips)
  • January 15, 2027: Application deadline
  • January 29, 2027: Students notified of decision
  • February 12, 2027: Official acceptance of scholarships deadline
Round 2 (focus on May trips)
  • March 26, 2027: Application deadline
  • April 9, 2027: Students notified of decision
  • April 23, 2027: Official acceptance of scholarships deadline

The Opportunity Scholarship Application for AY26-27 experience will open in August 2026.
