Marketing Majors

MSLE 4250- Marketing Internships (2 credits)
Provides internship experience in a career-related position approved by a faculty member in the Department of Marketing and Strategy.

Beginning Fall 2026, all Majors in the Huntsman School of Business are required to participate in a career accelerating experience (Career Acceleration Program or CAP); the requirement for CAP varies by major. The MSLE 4250 internship course counts as one of the options for CAP for Marketing Majors. Please see your assigned Academic Advisor in EBB 209 for a full list of approved CAP activities.

Prerequisites

  • MSLE 3500, or MGT 3700, or MSLE 3800 with a grade of B (3.00) or better.

Internship Approval Process

  • To receive approval for your internship and to register for MSLE 4250, students must first complete the MSLE 4250 Internship Agreement Form.
  • After your form has been reviewed and approved, you will receive instructions to register for MSLE 4250.
  • Complete the Canvas course for MSLE 4250 to receive a pass/fail grade for the 2 credit internship.  
  • If you have any questions or concerns regarding completing your internship for course credit, please contact Professor David Herrmann.

Restrictions

  • Interns will receive a Pass or Fail grade based on work performance.
  • Interns must work an average of at least 10 hours a week for a total of 150 hours for the semester. The internships can be a volunteer or paid position.
