Sage Academy
A Year of Real Data Experience
Sage Academy is a specialized first-year experience within the Huntsman School of Business designed for students interested in data, technology, and building real solutions from day one. This highly selective program brings together a small cohort of students who want to move faster—developing technical skills while working closely with faculty mentors and peers.
Instead of traditional lecture-based courses, Sage Academy students learn through extended collaborative sessions that integrate multiple subjects into one immersive experience. Working in teams, students build real data and technology solutions while learning the workflows used by modern technology and analytics teams.
Sage Academy is a one-year experience designed to prepare students for success at Huntsman, with students fast-tracked into the Huntsman Scholar Program (HSP), additional scholarship support, and continued participation as an HSP student after the program.
What You'll Learn
Through Sage Academy, students develop a strong technical foundation in:
- Data analytics and programming
- Database design and data management
- Data visualization and storytelling
- Web and technology systems development
- Professional collaboration and technical communication
Students apply these skills immediately through hands-on projects that simulate real-world technical environments.
