New Department Heads

Chad Albrecht

Dr. Chad Albrecht, Professor of Strategy and director of the MBA Program, was selected as the head of the Marketing & Strategy Department. Albrecht, who joined the Huntsman School in 2008, has received accolades for his teaching and for his research and was critical in the development of an online MBA program at Huntsman. Albrecht’s research has focused on business fraud. He has produced more than fifty publications, including several books and many research articles, and his research has been used by the AICPA and the Institute of Fraud Prevention (ACFE) in training, research, and other educational initiatives. “Chad Albrecht is an exceptional leader. He is innovative, hard-working, collegial, and highly productive. He enjoys the confidence of his colleagues across the college and university,” said Douglas D. Anderson, dean of the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. “He has put the MBA program on an upward and sustainable trajectory. I am grateful for his willingness to serve as department head of Marketing, Strategy, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship, and I look forward to great success in the years ahead.”

Konrad Lee, a professor of business law, was selected as the head of the Management Department. Lee joined the College of Business at Utah State University in 1998 as an adjunct professor and went on to serve as the director of the MBA Program. Lee earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Calgary, as well as an MBA and a JD from BYU. He is a sought after expert on employment law and employment discrimination. Professor Lee serves as a reviewer for many journals in the business law domain and was formerly the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Legal Studies in Business. “I am grateful that Konrad Lee has prepared himself to be the kind of leader we need at this juncture to serve as department head of Management,” said Douglas D. Anderson, dean of the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. “He is a tested veteran of more than 25 years. I have the highest personal regard for Konrad. I have had the chance to serve with him during his tenure as director of our MBA program, and I know him to be an individual of unquestioned integrity and commitment to the mission, vision, and values of the Huntsman School of Business.”
