Welcome to the 2026–2027 USU MHR Cohort

The Utah State University Master of Human Resources program is excited to welcome the 2026–2027 MHR cohort to the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business!

This year, 27 students have joined the program and have begun a year of learning, professional development, and preparation for careers in human resources. Students come from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds, bringing different experiences and perspectives to the classroom.

Throughout the program, students will build knowledge across several areas of human resources. Courses such as Talent Acquisition and Retention, Total Rewards and Employee Performance, Labor and Employee Relations, Human Resource Analytics, and Human Resource Policy & Strategy will give students experience with many of the key functions of HR. These courses will also help students understand how HR supports employees while contributing to broader organizational goals.

The MHR experience also extends beyond the classroom. Students will have opportunities to connect with HR professionals and employers through company visits, networking events, and real-world projects. They will also gain practical experience through internships and other professional opportunities.

A key part of the program is the cohort experience. Students move through much of the program together and have many opportunities to learn from one another. Along the way, they build strong relationships and grow both personally and professionally.

We look forward to following the accomplishments of the 2026–2027 cohort throughout the year.
