AIS Student Chapter Leadership Conference 2024: Fostering Innovation and Collaboration

Logan, Utah, USA - March 21-23, 2024

The 2024 AIS Student Chapter Leadership Conference, held at Utah State University (USU) in Logan, Utah, gathered approximately 170 student participants from 17 universities across the United States. Hosted from March 21st to 23rd, the event showcased the talents in the fields of enterprise, data, technology, and security.

The conference served as a platform for academic discourse, enabling participants to connect with peers and industry professionals. In addition to professional events, the conference hosted friendly competitions, fostering a spirit of camaraderie among attendees. Participants left with new knowledge, skills, and connections, poised to contribute to the advancement of analytical and computational programs.

Sponsored by industry leaders including GitHub, DOMO, Sandbox, and others, the event totaled $40,000 in sponsorships. The conference featured 74 submissions across four competition tracks, with $24,000 in prize money
awarded to standout contributors.

Chris Corcoran, Head of Data Analytics and Information Systems at The Jon M Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University, commended the event, stating, “This is an exciting era at the intersection of enterprise, data, tech, and security. The AIS Student Leadership Conference was a wonderful opportunity to have students and colleagues from across the country gather at The Huntsman School and learn from each other about how to advance our collective analytical and computational programs. Our own students, faculty, and staff were wonderful hosts. I am so grateful for their work in providing such an outstanding experience for our guests."
