How COVID Has Changed the Workplace and the Future of Work

The last year has seen unprecedented disruptions to the workplace and the nature of work. In an online panel on January 29,  industry leaders discussed how their organizations navigated the turbulence, how they continue to foster supportive work environments, and what lessons have been learned that will shape work and the workplace of the future.

Panel Members included Josefina Leon: VP HR, Walt Disney Television, The Walt Disney Company, Tessa White: Founder - SHE Team, Former Sr VP of Human Capital, Vivint Solar, Stephanie Crook: VP of HR Strategy and Culture at Intel, and Eric McAllister: Exec. VP HR, Avantor Inc., Former Senior VP HR, Westinghouse Electronic Co.

Leon shared "new normal" will be something that continues to change in the workplace. "There are a lot of new opportunities to re-invent our business and re-evaluate what the new normal is," she said. White and Cook both spoke to what employees want now and the flexibility employers will need to embrace moving forward. 

“Flexibility is something employees want, in terms of where and how they work," Cook said.
