AIS Student Chapter Receives Recognized for Third Year in a Row

February 9, 2021

The Association for Information Systems (AIS) student chapter in the Huntsman School of Business has been internationally recognized for excellence for the third year in a row. The chapter was awarded “Distinguished Chapter” for the 2019-2020 year. This follows their “Student Chapter of the Year” recognition for each of the two previous years.

The "Distinguished Chapter" award is the second highest level of annual recognition, following "Chapter of the Year".  The Distinguished Chapter Award recognizes chapters that have excelled in such areas of emphasis as professional development, membership, careers in IS, community service, fundraising, and communications.

“This three-year run of excellence is truly impressive, especially when you peruse the list of current and past awardees,” said Chris Corcoran, Department Head of Data Analytics and Information Systems and the David B. Haight Professor of Analytics.

“Many thanks to our wonderful students who do so much for this club,” Corcoran continued. “Maddy Gardner is our outstanding Executive Board President this year and I also want to thank Jeff Johnson and Ryan Beckstead for serving as the AIS faculty advisors.”
