ProSales Members Win at Sales Competition

March 4, 2020

The Huntsman School of Business’ ProSales team competed alongside 39 top universities at the University of Toledo Invitational Sales Competition (UTISC) and USU freshman, Andrew Marino, took home the 1st place prize in the Freshman/Sophomore Division. Fellow Aggie Braden York was one of 12 semi-finalists in the Junior Division.

The USU team took 5th place overall and finished ahead of teams from Baylor University, Kansas State University, University of Minnesota and Purdue University. The students were coached by Dr. Aaron Brough and Dr. Sterling Bone.

“The results of this and other competitions we have participated in this year, provide further evidence of the progress we’re making to become the premier professional sales program in the world,” said Dr. Bone.

Marino said the competition was the most challenging and rewarding weekend he’s ever had. He said his favorite part was resolving the proposed objective in the final round and discovering he was the only finalist to do so.

“I’m excited to continue refining my skills through the help of Dr. Bone and the experienced upper-class students,” Marino said. “I’m also looking forward to helping new students in the coming semesters to discover their talents as they participate in competitions too.”
