BAP Dominates Regional Competition

April 21, 2020

USU’s Delta Omega chapter of Beta Alpha Psi dominated the Rocky Mountain Region “Best Practices” competition. Our chapter was the only school to compete in all three categories:  Engagement, Innovation, and Impact.

Engagement – 1st Place
Innovation – 1st Place
Impact – 2nd Place

This year, teams recorded and submitted presentations electronically to the regional conference planners, instead of presenting them at the Regional Conference, which was moved to a virtual conference due to COVID 19. Special thanks goes to Jared Fry (VP) as the competition lead. “Without his efforts and leadership, we would not have dominated the competition,” said BAP advisor, Chris Skousen.  The “Engagement” and “Innovation” presentations will move on to the national competition in August. Thanks also go to the other BAP officers and meeting participants: Lia Sorensen, Tiffany Bentley, Tyrel Pierson, Skyler Higginson, Palmer Edholm, Lillian Vaughn, Brie Woodbury

Other schools that participated in the competition include: University of Colorado at Boulder, University of Colorado at Denver, Brigham Young University, Colorado State University, University of Wyoming, University of Utah, Idaho State University, Montana State University, Fort Lewis College, The University of New Mexico, Weber State University, University of Northern Colorado, and Utah Valley University.

Way to go BAP!
