Visiting Assistant Professor, Dr. Kathryn Brightbill, graduated with her PhD in accounting from the University of Iowa and bachelor’s in accounting from Pennsylvania State University. Her dissertation explores the conditions under which analyst teams issue higher quality forecasts than solo peers. To do so, she hand-collected a sample of more than 17,000 analyst reports. This project is currently under review at The Accounting Review. Her research interests include information intermediaries and linguistic analysis centering on pragmatics. Prior to joining our faculty, she was a Visiting Assistant Professor at The University of Nebraska - Lincoln. She enjoys going for walks, playing board games with friends and family, and staying up entirely too late!
