Biography

Amelia works in the Dean’s Office at the Huntsman School of Business as the Venue and Events Coordinator. In this role, she ensures that every physical space, setup, and asset at Huntsman is optimized to serve the HSB community. From flawless event execution to fixing broken desks, she’s the behind-the-scenes force keeping spaces functional, welcoming, and ready for success.

Since joining Huntsman in the spring of 2024, Amelia has quickly become the go-to person when something isn’t quite right or needs a little sparkle. Her unwavering positivity and radiant smile shine even in the toughest situations. Known for her problem-solving mindset, she doesn’t hesitate to call in the right experts, utilize her team, or simply roll up her sleeves and figure it out herself. No matter the challenge, Amelia finds a way to make it work.

Amelia earned her undergraduate degree in Strategic Communications from Southern Utah University, a hybrid program combining public relations, event planning, and marketing strategies. Her passion lies in curating personalized guest experiences through thoughtful event planning and creating environments that inspire collaboration and connection.

During her time at SUU, Amelia served as a student representative in the Annual Giving Office, advocating and fundraising for key campus initiatives—including a $17 million, 90,000-square-foot academic building expansion. (Her first touchpoint in academic building curation.)

Later, Amelia became the producer of SUU’s A.P.E.X. Lecture Series, organizing and executing over 30 concurrent weekly events featuring speakers from diverse fields. Notable guests included Dr. Temple Grandin, actress and activist Geena Davis, and H.E. Madam Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi. This role took her to Romania, Germany, and the Netherlands, where she collaborated with European universities to build cross-educational partnerships and exchange opportunities for other students and faculty.

Amelia is proud to be continuing her family’s Aggie legacy—simultaneously serving the Huntsman community as a full-time employee and pursuing her graduate studies at Utah State University.
