Biography

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Carmella studied Merchandising and Design at Western Kentucky University, where she received a Gold Key of Excellence Award for Drawing & Illustration. She began her career in Atlanta in Merchandise Marketing & Sales at America’s Mart, one of the world’s largest permanent wholesale trade centers. After several trips to manufacturers’ headquarters on the West Coast, she decided to make Los Angeles her home.

Carmella went on to build a dynamic career in the entertainment industry, developing expertise in creative development, partner relations, sales, marketing, licensing and brand management. She began at Capitol Records in Artist and Product Development, where she worked with artists including Paul McCartney, Tina Turner and Garth Brooks. She later held executive roles with Twentieth Century Fox, Warner Bros. and NBCUniversal, representing major entertainment brands and developing consumer products and licensing programs. With an entrepreneurial spirit, she eventually launched her own agency, leading business development initiatives for artists and manufacturers.

After enjoying frequent visits with family in Logan, Carmella and her husband, Greg, decided to make Cache Valley their home. She later earned her degree in Integrated Studies, with an emphasis in Business Communications, from Utah State University—returning to school as an adult and becoming an Aggie herself.

Carmella joined Utah State University’s Jon M. Huntsman School of Business as a Corporate Relations Specialist and later served as Senior Manager of Corporate and Alumni Relations, building strong relationships with employers, alumni and corporate partners.

Today, as Director of Development for the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business, Carmella focuses on building philanthropic relationships and securing support to expand opportunities for students and advance the mission of the school. As both a Huntsman professional and USU alumna, she is passionate about connecting people, creating meaningful partnerships and helping others invest in the future of Huntsman students.
