A passionate and award-winning presenter—drawing on a diverse background in business strategy, mathematics, analytical modeling, and theater and ballroom dance—he has taught university courses, research workshops, executive education workshops, and global conference addresses across North America, Central America, Europe, and Asia, and he has presented new research at leading conferences for the last several years. And he continues to provide customized executive education, consultation, and project research for several companies, helping advance industry practice.
Dr. Hansen has published in elite and leading journals such as the Strategic Management Journal, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Retailing, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Journal of Personal Selling & Sales Management, Journal of Business Research, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, International Journal of Market Research, Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing, among others journals, textbooks, books, and conference proceedings.
He received his Ph.D. in Marketing from Texas Tech University and his MBA and BS degrees from Brigham Young University. Drawing upon his past and current industry outreach/experiences, his scholarly research, public speaking, and business consultation focus on challenging problems in business theory and practice, consumer and societal impact, and methodology. Dr. Hansen is excited to return to his Aggie heritage—with grandparents with were Aggies and great-grandparents who were on faculty/staff at Utah State University. He looks forward to his family enjoying the fly-fishing, mountain biking, skiing, hiking, and many other outdoor activities and friendly vibe/community that Cache Valley has gained a reputation for in travel and tourism.
