Alice Guo

Alice Guo is an Assistant Professor of Management in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University. She received her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from Michigan State University and joined Utah State University in July 2022.

 

Alice’s research focuses on teams, leadership, and hierarchy, with particular interests in conflict and collaboration within and between teams, team boundary spanning relationships, power, status, and leader–follower dynamics. Her work has been published in journals including the Journal of Applied Psychology, the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, and the Journal of Business Research. A symposium she co-chaired received the Best Symposium Award from the Organizational Behavior Division at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting in 2017.

 

At Utah State, Alice teaches undergraduate students as well as full-time and part-time Master of Human Resources students. She enjoys helping students connect research-based insights with real organizational challenges. She received the Department of Management Teacher of the Year Award in 2026.
