Biography
Alice Guo is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Management at the Huntsman School of Business. She graduated from Michigan State University in May 2022 with a doctoral degree and joined the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University in July 2022.
In her research, Alice is fascinated by interpersonal relationships within teams and between teams and their implications for individuals and collectives. She has published two papers on these topics in the Journal of Applied Psychology and currently has two manuscripts in the revision-and-resubmit stage in the Journal of Applied Psychology and the Organizational Development and Human Decision Processes. Additionally, a symposium that she co-chaired received the Best Symposium award by the Organizational Behavior Division at the Academy of Management's Annual Meeting in 2017.
Alice teaches full-time Master of HR students and professional HR students Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness (MGT 6320) as well as Applied Human Resources Research (MGT 6330). While she was at Michigan State University, Alice taught undergraduate courses in Managing Human Resources and Organizational Behavior and provided data analysis workshops, including Multilevel Modeling and Growth Curve Modeling, for Ph.D. students in Management and related areas. Alice frequently receives positive feedback regarding her teaching and communication styles from faculty and students of all levels.
In her spare time, Alice enjoys traveling, sitcoms, reading, and hanging out with friends!
