Russell has worked in marketing, brand management, and strategy since 1997 in Idaho, Boston, London (England), and Salt Lake City. Russell received his MBA from the University of Oxford and has done additional study from Stanford University in modeling social networks and strategic marketing. He most recently worked as Vice President and Senior Marketing Director for Zions Bancorporation’s Investments and Capital Markets division. His work in communications has received national awards, and his consulting work for London-based Wolff Olins was featured in Management Today’s "Why brands are at the heart of service innovation" and received the Electrocomponents and Oxford Prize for the top strategic consulting project of 2007.
