Tara Bone

Biography

At the Huntsman School of Business, Tara combines her passion for relationship-building with a deep commitment to Utah State University (USU). Eager to follow in her family’s Aggie footsteps dating back to 1888, she completed a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations and corporate communications in 2000. As a student, she completed an internship with NASA, was named Public Relations Student of the Year, and served on the Val R. Christensen Service Center Leadership Council.

Before returning to USU, Tara worked as Marketing Director for Cache Valley Hospital during its opening years and later in development at Oklahoma State University (OSU). At OSU she spearheaded the Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources' annual fundraising campaigns, organized alumni events, and oversaw alumni communications. For over a decade, she has worked as a freelance writer and copy editor.

Tara lives in Hyrum and enjoys spending time with her “True Aggie” husband, Sterling, and their four sons.
