Nicole Barfuss

Biography

Nicole works as a Career Specialist at the FJ Management Center for Student Success. Her commitment to guiding Business and Economics students towards fulfilling careers stems from a lifetime of passion for education and empowerment.

Born and raised on the Wasatch Front, Nicole relocated to Cache Valley in 2005, and quickly gained a love for her new home. This love extends to Utah State University, where she started her undergraduate at USU before completing it through Western Governors University in 2014. Her academic drive continued, leading her to earn an MBA from the Huntsman School of Business in 2022.

Before starting her current role at USU, Nicole dedicated 15 years to a non-profit business devoted to assisting individuals facing hardships in transitioning back into the workforce. This transformative experience instilled in her a profound belief in the power of guidance and support, shaping her into a passionate advocate for achieving individual goals.

Outside of her professional life, Nicole finds joy in the vibrant tapestry of family life, home improvement projects, and gardening. Alongside her husband Dave, she proudly raised their four children – two boys and two girls – all thriving in the same Cache Valley landscape that stole her heart years ago.
