Huntsman Computer Labs
The Jon M. Huntsman School of Business Computer Labs are located in the basement (1st floor) of the Eccles Business Building (EBB). The labs are open access except for when classes are being held in the rooms. Schedules for each room are posted at each entrance. The labs have sit/stand workstations, capabilities to connect your device to a larger monitor, and charging cords to charge your phones/tablets.
Why connect your laptop to a larger monitor?
- Reduce eyestrain.
- View two or more applications at a time.
- Better video experience
- Extra/bigger space for Office documents and graphic applications.
We can connect almost any laptop using HDMI, MIni-DP, or USB-C. Just ask a lab consultant for help.
Open-Access Admission Requirements/Policy
USU's Open Access Computing Facilities are funded, in part or in full, by a self-imposed fee paid by students at registration. Much of the hardware and software in the facilities has been made available by vendors for educational use of students only. Because of these considerations, only verifiable USU students are entitled to use the facilities.
- A user will be admitted to an Open Access Computing Facility when:
- the user's own USU ID card is presented and validated by the Aggie ID Card facility,
- or an unexpired temporary admission card, signed by the Director of Computer Services or the Manager of Academic User Services, is
- Current USU Faculty/Teaching Staff will be admitted upon presentation of the user's own USU ID card, when space is available, for the purpose of developing class assignments which will require the use of the open access
- No one will be admitted to a lab on any other form of ID, or for any other payment or consideration
HSBCL Access - Exceptions
The HSBCL, although funded in part by student fees, is managed separately from other campus computer facilities and has reserved the right to grant access to users without their USU ID card on a case-by-case basis and is subject to only the HSBCL. Access without user’s USU ID card is limited to no more than three times per semester per user and is always at the sole discretion of the Lab Consultant on duty.
