Andrew earned a PhD in Computer Science in 2020, MS in Financial Economics in 2019, and BS in Computer Science in 2006. Andrew’s research interests include artificial intelligent stock market predictions, and reinforcement learning techniques in various areas.

Doug Derrick earned a PhD in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona. His research interests include human-agent interactions, intelligent agents, data fusion, decision support systems, and persuasive technology.

Kelly Fadel earned a PhD in Information Systems from the University of Arizona in 2007. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in data analytics and web application development. His research examines issues relating to information processing and decision making in computer-mediated environments.

Mr. Fletcher has been an information technology consultant for most of his career, helping businesses grow through the efficient use and application of data and information systems. He has founded two technology start-up companies and completed organization transformations for both government and the private sector.

Carly Fox earned her PhD in 2021 where she provided statistical consulting on interdisciplinary projects related to disability studies, discourse analysis, and implementation science. Carly specializes in text analysis and data mining, and has experience implementing natural language processing and automatic speech recognition tools to create more efficient analysis systems.


Pedram Jahangiry

Pedram Jahangiry has a PhD and CFA. Prior to joining the Huntsman School in 2018, Pedram was a research associate with the Financial Modeling Group at BlackRock NYC. His research involves time series forecasting, machine learning, and deep learning applications in business.

Sharad Jones has 8 years of experience as a Data Scientist in the tech industry. He worked for multiple early-stage startups as well as established government contractors. Sharad's expertise lies in low-sample unstructured datasets with an emphasis in computer vision and natural language processing.


Chelsea Harding

Chelsea is an instructor in the Data Analytics and Information Systems department. She has a strong background in Computer Science and enjoys teaching and learning. Chelsea has also been running Utah's largest hackathon HackUSU through USU campus since 2019.


Brinley Zabriskie

Research Mentor for the ASC

Dr. Zabriskie’s research focuses on statistical methods for research synthesis, primarily through meta-analysis, with a particular emphasis on combining data from studies with rare events. 


Bree Weist

Bree Wiest
Project Manager

Bree is a Project Management Professional, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and has a Masters in Business Administration. She has worked as a Project Manager for many of the world's largest tech companies, spanning all time zones.
