Huntsman Young Alumni Board
Inspired by the school’s motto, “Dare Mighty Things,” the Huntsman Young Alumni Board extends this legacy by serving as the primary platform for young alumni engagement, bridging the gap between graduation and lifelong connection with the Huntsman School. Its members dedicate their time, expertise, and financial resources to support the school’s mission of cultivating successful leaders and fostering a global community of business professionals.
Areas of Focus
Alumni Engagement
The board fosters meaningful connections among Huntsman alumni, organizing events and initiatives that create a vibrant and supportive alumni network. This focus strengthens ties between alumni, students, and the Huntsman School, ensuring an enduring sense of community and shared purpose.
Student Engagement
The board actively supports current students by providing mentorship opportunities, scholarships, and professional development experiences. These efforts bridge the gap between students and alumni, helping students prepare for successful careers and lives of impact.
Corporate Engagement
The board builds partnerships with organizations to create high-caliber career opportunities for graduates. Members host industry panels, participate in career workshops, and connect students with internships and full-time roles. Alumni also assist in recruiting Huntsman graduates to their companies, creating a pipeline of talent and opportunity.
Young Alumni Network
The Huntsman Young Alumni Network serves as the primary platform for young alumni engagement, fostering an interconnected community of recent graduates and strengthening their lifelong connection with the Huntsman School and its community.
The Huntsman Young Alumni Board oversees the network, which provides young alumni with opportunities to expand their professional networks, access exclusive career opportunities, and stay engaged through networking events, industry connections, and career development opportunities.
Membership in the Young Alumni Network is granted to those who donate $100 or more to the Huntsman School of Business, preferably through the Young Alumni Scholarship. This initiative aligns with the Young Alumni Board’s mission by fostering professional growth, building strong relationships, and engaging young alumni with the Huntsman School and its community.
Young Alumni Scholarship
Inspired by the legacy of generous donations by Jon & Karen Huntsman, the Young Alumni Scholarship is an initiative developed by the Huntsman Young Alumni Board to unite recent graduates in giving back to the School of Business. This scholarship is made possible through the annual membership contributions of Board Members, corporate sponsorships and fundraising efforts they secure.
The Young Alumni Board has established an annual fundraising goal of at least $50,000 to support the scholarship. For every dollar raised, 50% will be directed to the Expendable Fund to support immediate scholarship awards, while the remaining 50% will be allocated to the endowment to support future students, ensuring long-term sustainability. The proceeds from this fund will be used to provide scholarship stipends to student leaders who serve as official Huntsman student club officers and association leaders. Together, we can continue to create opportunities for future generations of Huntsman Aggies. Read about the Terms and Criteria for the Young Alumni Scholarship.
