Biography

After graduating from Utah State University in 1988, where she was a four-year President’s Ambassador, and involved with the Alpha Chi Omega sorority, Holly went to work for an R & R Advertising, a Lobbying and Public Relations firm, and the love of politics has been with her ever since.

For the past 9 years, Holly has worked for Maverik Convenience Stores as the Director of Government Relations and Licensing where she makes sure Maverik’s 360 stores in 11 western states are effectively represented on the city, state and federal levels.

Holly has worked as the Deputy Director of Economic Development for the State of Utah and Salt Lake County and was the Government and Community Relations Advisor for Rio Tinto/Kennecott Utah Copper.

Holly also serves on many boards in the business and non-profit community. She is the Board Chair for the Mountain West Small Business Finance Company, Past-Chair for the Utah Food Industry Association, and she is a member of The Children’s Center Policy Board and the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business National Advisory Board.

Die-hard Aggies, Holly, her husband Carl, and daughter Emily love everything to do with Utah State University.
