John is the founder of JR Miller Enterprises, a privately held company with diverse holdings in real estate, private enterprise, and agriculture. His vision and operational expertise can be seen throughout its many businesses.

He recently retired from National Beef Packing Company after serving as CEO since 1991. Mr. Miller led the company from $500 million in sales to over $6 billion in sales. With more than 8,000 employees, the company is headquartered in Kansas City, MO, with seven regional production facilities, a Class A transportation company, and four international sales offices. NBP markets and distributes beef products in all 50 states and more than 60 countries worldwide.

John is a founding partner of Woodbury Strategic Partners, Solamere Capital, and Wasatch Premier Properties. He is also a director and major shareholder for Tower Group Holdings in Salt Lake City, UT.

Born and raised in Cache Valley, UT, he and his wife, Victoria, reside in Salt Lake City, UT, and are the parents of six children and grandparents of four. He graduated Cum Laude from Utah State University with a B.S. in History in 1977.
