Biography

In 1990, Ty Measom was working as an engineer at a fabrication company based in Logan Utah and felt that there was an opportunity in the outdoor cooking market that wasn't being addressed. The Utah resident knew there had to be a better way to cook outdoors, and the company Measom created, Camp Chef, has spent the last two and a half decades redefining how people feed their friends and family while camping, at tailgate parties, and on the home patio.

Camp Chef began by creating high-capacity propane stoves that were both portable and powerful and has since created hundreds of other products and accessories including barbecue grill boxes, griddles and a full line of cast-iron cookware. Ty holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Utah State University and enjoys spending time with his wife Sue and their five children.
