With a father in the Navy, Dylan Stadel has lived on both coasts and several places in between. Dylan then finished his middle school and high school years, settling down near Lehi, UT. Dylan obtained a few years of higher education while playing sports at various colleges and universities. A few years in, he put school on hold and volunteered to serve a religious mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in South Carolina.

After two years in South Carolina, he finished his undergraduate degree and graduate degrees at Utah State University. During his time at Utah State, he dated and married his wife Amanda Stadel, while also adopting a child and having another. He also wrestled collegiately through his undergrad.

Honeywell recruited Dylan out of Utah State’s MHR/MBA program. He interned for them at Honeywell UOP in Des Plaines, IL, where he would start for them in a full-time HR Generalist role after he graduated. Now he is a Sr HR Generalist at Honeywell SPS in Charlotte, NC where he supports ISC functional business leaders. He is first and foremost a man of faith and family, he loves sports, and needs music everyday of his life. He is excited at what the future holds for him and his family as they continue their journey in life.

Q: Why did you choose the Huntsman School Master of Human Resources Program?
R: After a career shift, I was looking for local graduate programs that would steer me in the direction I wanted to head professionally. My wife worked at Utah State and recommended that I look into the MHR program. After some networking, I realized that it was a top notch program and that HR was a field that I was very aligned with. I am so glad I did, because it was the best career decision I ever made.

Q: What was your favorite part of the Huntsman School MHR Program?
R: The cohort was my favorite aspect. We were a tight knit group that supported each other during some of the most difficult, yet enjoyable times of my higher education. I now have a trusted network of friends and colleagues spanning across various industries.

Q: What advice would you give current MHR students or recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in HR?
R: Don’t stress so much about the grades. Challenge yourself and step outside of your comfort zone when it comes to the projects you take and the way you approach you work.

Q: What are your 2-3 main job duties?
R: Leadership development, organizational management/design, and talent acquisition/ management
