Biography

Kris Bennett began his career leading marketing, copy, and customer service teams for an entrepreneurial company and quickly discovered a passion for talent management which led him to attend USU for the MHR/MBA program. Through fall recruiting he had the opportunity to intern with Honeywell Aerospace during the covid summer of 2020. He was pleased to accept a full-time role in Honeywell's Future HR leaders program. His first rotation was in Torrance, CA Aerospace and he has begun his second at Honeywell HQ in Charlotte, NC. Outside of work, Kristopher has a large family, 5 kids, and an incredible wife that he loves to spend his time and take on adventures. He enjoys nearly any activity but especially good food and good friends.

Q: Why did you choose the Huntsman School Master of Human Resources Program?
R: Out of all the programs, I thought Huntsman displayed the most well-developed and successful placement program for its graduates. The professors truly care about your success and set you up to succeed.

Q: What was your favorite part of the Huntsman School MHR Program?
R: I loved the professors and their passion for the program and their courses.

Q: What advice would you give current MHR students or recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in HR?
R: Be curious. Do not lose your thirst for knowledge, growth, and personal development.

Q: What are your 2-3 main job duties?
R: Early professional coaching and development, recruiting from core schools for the Future Finance Leader program, and developing a template for strong leadership development programs.
