The School of Accountancy (SOA) carefully reviews the results of all assessment tools. In particular, the primary dashboard metrics relate to satisfaction of learning objectives, CPA exam results by graduate students, job placement success (upon graduation and job retention into the future), enrollment trends, financial resources (internally and externally generated), and faculty sufficiency.
Based on outcomes data, the Head of the SOA will assign faculty members, student and alumni advisory board members, and others to review discrepancies between our mission and goals and any results in the surveys that are below our standards. Specific strategies are then developed and deployed to reposition the SOA for continued progress.
The outcomes, actions, and activities that derive from the continuous improvement process are generally summarized and communicated via this website, the SOA annual report, and the SOA periodic newsletter.
