Returning students vie for free ice cream and a chance to join “The Agency”

While its students have been traveling the world, daring mighty things, the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business has been preparing for their return. Here are just a few of the new developments Huntsman students discovered upon their return:

  • Students may now get information about the Huntsman School of Business and other campus activities sent straight to their mobile phone through the newly formed Aggie Text Club. By entering a contest to win  free Aggie Ice Cream for the school year through texting AGGIE to 88222 or a $500 Bookstore Gift Card through texting BOOKSTORE to 88222, students automatically are registered to receive text messages that give them news, activities, and other targeted information.
  • The Huntsman School of Business also has organized an internal public relations and marketing group named “The Agency.” Organized similarly to an advertising agency, it will be involved in brand management, promotions, advertising, website strategy, social media, publications, and the public relations for the school. Students working for "The Agency" will all receive interesting titles fashioned after the CIA, such as "double agents" (account managers), "clandestine operations" (graphic designers), "secret service" (webmasters), "informants" (copy writers), "moles" (social media managers), and others.
  • During September, the Career Accelerators Program is having a drawing for an iPad to be given to a student who schedules an appointment to come in and meet with one of the Career Acceleration Specialists. The specialists can help them build their résumé, receive career coaching, or develop interviewing skills.
  • The Huntsman computer labs were upgraded with the addition of 17 new computers.

A student discovers he can get a higher education by jumping on the trampoline during "Day On The Quad," an event organized to welcome USU students back to campus.
