Biography
Polly Conrad is an educator, mentor, and leader in the Data Analytics and Information Systems Department in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University. Her dedication to students’ success extends beyond the classroom, as she actively invests time and effort in understanding their unique aspirations and challenges. With an empathetic and encouraging approach, she empowers students to reach their full potential, fostering a new generation of analytics leaders who are not only technically skilled but also possess the drive to make a positive impact on the world. In her multifaceted role, she serves in key leadership positions within USU's Analytics Solutions Center (ASC), where she previously served as the Director of Operations and she now serves as the Director of Student Affairs. In her current role, Polly creates and implements programs and initiatives to support students’ personal, academic, and professional growth. She develops and participates in student engagement activities to provide resources to help students succeed academically and professionally. Additionally, Polly serves as the Director of Teaching Excellence for her department. She demonstrates and shares evidence-based teaching methods with other faculty members to develop and update teaching practices. Polly's extensive experience in various sectors provides her with a holistic perspective that guides her decision-making and problem-solving capabilities. Having worked in government agencies, non-profit organizations, industry, and academia, she brings diverse insights and adaptable strategies to the table. Her commitment to academic excellence, mentorship, and leadership has proven instrumental in driving organizational transformation and optimizing program outcomes. Polly's passion for education and her expertise in mentoring and leadership are uniquely combined to create a profound impact on the lives of students.
