Biography

Cary Ripplinger has been in the IT industry for over 25 years and is currently serving as the CIO for Deseret Management Corporation and Beneficial Financial Group, headquartered in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. He has held this position since 2009 with prior experience at Beneficial as the Director of Application Development, the Project/Program Office and Director of the IT Help Desk, which he established in 1998.

Prior to working with the Deseret Management Corporation and Beneficial, Cary spent 15 years in various management roles with American Express Company, where he served as the Manager of New Product Development, Manager of Business Systems Coordination, and Team Lead in the Card and Travelers Cheque Divisions.

Cary received his PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification from the Project Management Institute and he is a current board member of AIM Utah, the Association for Information Management, and past president of the Utah Chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM). He has also served as a member of the Program Advisory Committee for the Salt Lake Community College Information Systems program.

Cary received his M.B.A. while working at American Express from the University of Phoenix. He received a B.A. from Brigham Young University.
