Biography

Dr. Hekmat is the Associate professor of economics. Ali joined USU-CEU in July 1994. He has previously taught at the University of North Dakota, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and Western Washington University.

Ali is originally from Iran and came to the United States in 1977. He loves traveling, biking, and skiing.

The economics program places an emphasis on learning, critical thinking, and the development of the whole individual within the context of a rapidly changing world.
