Nick Guo’s research focus is on macroeconomics, financial economics and health economics. He received a dual bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from the Wuhan University in 2001. Four years later his finished his master’s degree in economics also from Wuhan University. This year, 2010, he finished the requirements to earn a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Guo received the Distinguished Instructor Award, Department of Economics, University of Minnesota, three times from fall 2008 – summer 2009. In 1999, Dr. Guo received the People’s Scholarship and Outstanding Student Award from the Wuhan University.
