Welcome to the Department of Marketing and Strategy (MSLE). We offer courses and programs of study that examine marketing, digital commerce, strategy, entrepreneurship, leadership and international business. customers, and value creation. The programs of study within the department are among those with the fastest growing enrollment at Utah State University. Most students graduating with majors and minors from the Marketing and Strategy Department have found solid, well-paying employment upon graduation. Other students successfully launch businesses with skills acquired in the entrepreneurship program. All students benefit from the leadership courses where they learn to successfully lead teams, workgroups, and organizations.

Our newest minor is Consulting. The consulting minor prepares students to manage people, processes and strategies in all types of organizations and to consult with organizational leaders and members on these issues. These skills are needed by students in business, engineering, agriculture, sciences and any technical discipline to get a job in consulting and excel in any job. Students will learn how to manage consulting projects, how to make recommendations based on data analytical analysis, how to implement change and implement a consulting process in working with executives. Graduates with this minor and the appropriate technical training will be attractive candidates for employment in the big consulting firms like Accenture, Ernst & Young, Deloitte, etc. This minor will create strong career paths for students in STEM studies, finance, accounting, and other disciplines. Student interested consulting small business and micro-enterprises around the world will take courses especially targeted at that segment of the market.
