USU Student

USU students or students transferring from another college or university applying for admission to the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business should complete the requirements listed below based on the semester of their application.  Students must complete the admission application below, to be considered for admissions to the Huntsman School.

Requirements for students applying during:

Spring or Summer 2020 

  • 24+ post-high school credits
  • Receive a C grade or better in the following classes:
    • ACCT 2010, ECON 1500, MGT 1050, ENGL 2010, MIS 2100 and STAT 2300 or 2000
      • ECON majors: ECN 1500, ECN 2010, ENGL 2010, MATH 1050, MATH 1100, and STAT 2300 or 2000
  • 2.75 overall GPA
    • ACCT Majors - Overall 3.0 GPA & B or better in ACCT 2010

Fall 2020

  • Receive a C or better in the following classes:
    • ECON 1500, ACCT 2010, MIS 1100*, and MIS 2100
      • ECON majors: C or better in ECON 1500 and ECON 2010
  • In good academic standing (2.0 GPA)

*The first offering of MIS 1100 will be Fall 2020. Students who complete MIS 2100 prior to Fall 2020, will not be required to take MIS 1100.

Application Processing

Students applying to the Huntsman School of Business will be notified regarding their application status following the conclusion of the semester the application was submitted.  ALL grades for the application semester must be posted prior to the review of admission applications.  Notification of application decision will be sent by email.  If accepted, you will be assigned an advisor within the department of your major. If you are not accepted the reasons for denial will be listed.
