Kaitlyn is a senior studying Finance and Economics with a Data Analytics minor. She has completed internships with J.P. Morgan Private Bank, Banyan Growth Partners, and University Growth Fund. Kaitlyn is interested in pursuing a career in wealth management. Originally from Logan, she loves playing on the ultimate frisbee team at Utah State, playing guitar and songwriting in her free time.

Emerald is a rising senior studying Finance. She loves trying new things, traveling, and meeting new people. She likes to run and is currently training for a marathon. Emerald enjoys writing songs on her guitar and performs at Pobev. She continues to participate in DECA leadership. Emerald works in the Dean's office, when you see her be sure to stop and say hello.


Paul Johnston

Service/VP Professional Development

Paul is a senior studying Economics with minors in Business and Math. He is an undergraduate research fellow for the Center of Growth and Opportunity and plans to pursue a career as a university professor. When Paul isn’t at Huntsman Hall, you can find him outside rock climbing, playing pickleball, volleyball, or skiing. He loves to have deep conversations with everyone around him. Paul is from Highland, Utah.


Kallin Kelley

Kallin is a senior majoring in Accounting and Finance with a minor in English. He completed an internship with Davies and Allen P.C. and plans to become an attorney specializing in tax law and litigation. Kallin was born and raised in Heber Valley, Utah. Kallin enjoys being up in the mountains, on his bike, or skiing the slopes.


Max Hanks

Max is a senior majoring in Finance with minors in Personal Financial Planning and Real Estate. He's currently working as an associate financial advisor at Winward Financial and plans to pursue a career as a financial advisor and planner. Max is originally from Kaysville, Utah and loves Logan. He's the President of the Personal Financial Planning Club and a member of the USU pickleball team. He loves traveling, pickleball, volleyball, golf, and anything else that keeps him active and being with people.

The role of a Scholar Peer Mentor is to provide peer-to-peer mentoring, foster a sense of community, and serve as a resource.
