Chris FawsonProfessor Chris Fawson has been teaching economics at Utah State University for the past 21 years, during which time he has also been named Department Head and Senior Associate Dean, Director of International Programs, Vice Provost for Academic and International Affairs, Executive Director of Partners in Business, and the International Professor of the Year (2012). Most recently, he was recognized by the Utah Statesman as one of the 50 most influential people on the USU campus. In addition to all that Dr. Fawson has given to Huntsman students through his teaching and leadership, he makes regular financial contributions to the school in support of student scholarships and programming.

Dr. Fawson believes that scholarship support is important because students should be recognized and rewarded for their hard work and commitment. He believes that “extraordinary students should have the broadest set of opportunities available to them and knows that scholarships help relax some of the financial constraints that may be limiting a student’s access to learning.”

Dr. Fawson has never regretted his decision to come to Utah State University. “Looking back, USU has been an incredible place to have an academic career. The physical setting for the campus is spectacular and the students have a unique set of skills and experiences that make it an exciting place to teach and mentor students.”
