Huntsman Post - February 2016

Greetings from Cambridge, Massachusetts! I am on administrative leave this semester, teaching a course on leadership and corporate accountability at Harvard Business School. Larry Walther, the head of our school of accountancy, is serving as the acting dean. I will of course be back on campus next month as we open Jon M. Huntsman Hall on March 16. I invite you all to join us for the ribbon cutting on that very special day.

Meanwhile, our work goes on, and our students, faculty, and staff continue to dare mighty things.

Three of our finance students recently received offers from the Investment Banking division of Goldman Sachs, the most offers from that division to any school. We are proud of those students and of the finance faculty who worked with them all along the way. Our video features Huntsman alumnus Brent Meacham, who has served so ably as the first-ever high school recruiter for the Huntsman School. Brent is leaving later this month to begin a career in NYC, in the executive development program with Macy’s. We wish all of these great ambassadors of the Huntsman School the best as they strike out into the world.

We are also pleased to announce a new executive education opportunity, the Executive Master of Accounting Program, set to begin this summer.

See you on March 16!
