Biography

Dr. Steven Hanks is Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in Human Resources at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business, Utah State University. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Utah, with specialization in Business Strategy and Human Resource Management. He has also completed specialized coursework in Executive Coaching at Columbia University in New York City. Dr. Hanks’ expertise centers in the areas of leadership and organizational effectiveness. In his years at the Huntsman School, Dr. Hanks has taught multiple courses including Managing Organizations and People, Global Business Strategy, Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness, International Management and Applied HR Research. Dr. Hanks also has significant administrative experience, serving as President of the Faculty Senate, Associate Dean, and Vice Provost at Utah State University. In 2001 he had the unique experience of serving as Dean of the Faculty of Financial and Administrative Sciences at the Arab American University – Jenin, in the West Bank.
