Dan Allen could best be characterized as a serial entrepreneur. Following a five-year corporate career with payroll processing icon, Automatic Data Processing, Mr. Allen spent the next 20 years creating or reorganizing small businesses. These businesses ranged from computer software and services to equipment leasing and rural economic development. Prior to joining the USU faculty, Mr. Allen served as associate vice president for Institutional Advancement and Auxiliaries at College of Eastern Utah. Mr. Allen earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from Brigham Young University. He earned an MBA in finance from the Ken Blanchard School of Business at Grand Canyon University. Mr. Allen currently serves as a member of the Carbon County Tourism Tax Board and the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife, Lia, live in Price and have four daughters and eleven grandchildren.
