Shingo Center Pit Crew Challenge: Competition Night

Student Activities

Competition night for the Shingo Student Center's Pit Crew Challenge, sponsored by Discount Tire. Crews of four race to assemble a LEGO car as fast as a pit crew changes tires. Teams get thirty minutes to design their method, then four timed rounds, each with a five-minute setup and a documented improvement cycle in between. The fastest hands don't guarantee a win — most points go to how well a crew plans, experiments, and explains what it learned. The winning crew earns an all-expenses-paid trip to Las Vegas to train with Discount Tire's NASCAR pit crew. Spectators are welcome. Register to attend.
