DECA State Leadership Conference at Weber State University will be held on Friday, November 14. Universities and colleges from throughout Utah come together to compete for an opportunity to represent Utah at the National Leadership Conference, which will be held in April 2026 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Huntsman Stock Pitch Competition
Panel Discussion/Presentation | Focused Friday
Ready to dive into the world of investing? The Huntsman Stock Pitch Competition is your chance to learn how to analyze stocks, decide whether to buy or sell, and pitch your recommendations to a panel of judges.
Teams of 2–4 students work together for about a month, with guidance from an experienced mentor, to research a company, evaluate its performance, and develop a persuasive presentation. You’ll dig into data, craft a compelling argument, and present your findings—just like professionals do.
This event is geared toward finance majors, but students from all majors and skill sets are encouraged to participate. Whether you’re great with numbers, marketing, research, or design, your talents will be valuable to your team.
Why join?
You’ll get hands-on experience in investing, sharpen your analytical and presentation skills, and gain a deeper understanding of how to buy, monitor, and evaluate stocks.

The resume workshop will start at 11 a.m., with job search expert Matt Hilbig giving practical guidance on how to create a clear, well-organized resume that effectively highlights your skills and experience. The session will cover formatting basics, strategies for tailoring your resume to specific roles, and tips for presenting your accomplishments in a concise and relevant way. Whether you're starting from scratch or updating an existing resume, the goal is to help you strengthen your document and feel more confident using it in your job search. There will also be time for questions and discussion.
