Biography

Jordan E. Toone is a corporate attorney and shareholder in the Business and Finance Groups at the Salt Lake City law firm of Parr Brown Gee & Loveless. Jordan focuses his practice on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity transactions, debt and equity capital financing, and general corporate and business matters. Mr. Toone also acts as an outside general legal advisor to emerging and established companies.

Jordan is involved in several community and pro bono initiatives, including assisting Islamic and other faith-based charitable organizations in the Salt Lake City area with various business, real estate, immigration, and other legal matters. Jordan currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Utah Nonprofits Association (UNA). Prior to joining Parr Brown, Jordan practiced law at the international law firms of White & Case LLP and Latham & Watkins LLP in New York City. Before attending law school, Jordan worked as an embedded civilian social scientist with the U.S. Army’s 1st Armored Division in Iraq, liaising directly with the local Iraqi population in furtherance of various socioeconomic initiatives.

Mr. Toone has been recognized in the 2018 edition of Utah Business magazine as one of Utah’s Legal Elite “Up & Coming” lawyers. Most recently he has been recognized in the 2018 Mountain States Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” for his work in Mergers & Acquisitions.

Jordan lives in Kaysville with his wife and 5 children.
